SIDE NOTES ON BUYING CHEAP USED CARS FOR SALE:

1. Salvage Titles - These have different meanings in every state so be cautious (especially in Louisiana) If you don’t know what these are or what they mean, steer clear of them.

2. Save the eBay Listing, the “Congratulations you won” email and ALL correspondence with the seller. I showed up to pick up a vehicle and all 4 tires were flat. The listing said new tires so they had to buy me 4 brand new tires BECAUSE I saved the listing.

3. EBay changes the way searches are done often so be mindful that there are plenty of ways to search. The concepts in this book are still the same.

4. Let your insurance company know so you are covered, especially if you are driving across the country.

5. Beware of “second chance” offers. Sellers may contact you if you bid on the vehicle and don’t win saying they will offer it to you “second chance.” I am fairly sure this is against eBay’s code of conduct and since it is not regulated by eBay, is not protected through any of the eBay safeguards.
